The PAUT A2 Series AOD Wedge from TheSonic India is designed for axial outer-diameter weld inspection using A2 Probe Series phased array probes. The AOD configuration is selected when the scanning surface is the outside diameter of a round component and the probe movement follows the component’s axial direction.

Unlike flat wedges, the AOD wedge includes OD curvature matching to improve seating on curved surfaces. This helps the wedge remain stable during scanning and supports more consistent couplant behavior.
