Working Principle

The TS-CTD2-16 CodeTrack D2 TOFD Scanner holds two TOFD probes and wedges at the required spacing across the weld inspection zone. During scanning, the operator manually moves the scanner along the weld.

The spring-loaded encoder remains in contact with the inspection surface and converts scanner movement into digital position pulses. These pulses are transmitted to the ultrasonic inspection system, allowing TOFD data to be recorded according to actual scan distance.
