The CodeTrack D2 TOFD Scanner is developed for manual encoded TOFD inspection where two probes are required to scan a weld in a controlled and repeatable manner.
The scanner allows two TOFD probes and wedges to be mounted on an adjustable frame bar. During scanning, the spring-loaded encoder tracks scanner movement and provides position feedback to the ultrasonic inspection system.

Working Principle
The TS-CTD2-16 CodeTrack D2 TOFD Scanner holds two TOFD probes and wedges at the required spacing across the weld inspection zone. During scanning, the operator manually moves the scanner along the weld.
The spring-loaded encoder remains in contact with the inspection surface and converts scanner movement into digital position pulses. These pulses are transmitted to the ultrasonic inspection system, allowing TOFD data to be recorded according to actual scan distance.
